Subscription terms
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Summary: Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from your app store in a couple of taps. Tracking your cycle, reading your history, and exporting all of it stay free forever, whether you subscribe or not.
1. What is on offer
Cync offers two paid tiers, Cync Plus and Cync Pro, each available as a monthly or an annual subscription. What each tier includes is shown in the app on the upgrade screen before you buy.
2. What stays free, permanently
These are free at every tier and will not move behind a subscription later:
- Period, symptom, and mood logging
- Cycle and ovulation predictions, including the accuracy work for irregular and PCOS cycles
- Every tracking mode
- Your full history, and exporting it as JSON or CSV
- Reviewing and deleting what the companion remembers
- Biometric app lock
- Crisis and distress support
- No advertising, at any tier
3. Price
Prices are set per region and shown in your local currency on the upgrade screen in the app, which takes them directly from the App Store or Google Play. The price you see there before you confirm is the price you pay.
If we change prices, the change applies to new subscribers. Anyone already subscribed keeps the price they signed up at for as long as that subscription stays active. Where a store requires your consent for a price change, your subscription will not renew at the new price until you give it.
4. Billing and automatic renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price for the tier and billing period you chose.
You can manage your subscription and turn off automatic renewal in your account settings on the store you bought it from, at any time after purchase.
5. Free trials and introductory offers
Where a free trial or introductory price is offered, its length and the price that follows are shown on the upgrade screen before you confirm. A trial converts into a paid subscription at the stated price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you subscribe to the same product before the trial finishes.
6. How to cancel
Cancel in your Apple subscription settings or your Google Play subscriptions. The app links you straight there from the upgrade screen.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not end your access early: you keep everything you paid for until the end of the period you have already been billed for.
Deleting the Cync app does not cancel a subscription, and neither does deleting your Cync account. Cancel through the store, or billing continues.
7. Refunds
Purchases are made through the App Store and Google Play, so refunds are handled by them under their policies and not by us. Request one from Apple or Google Play. We do not have the ability to issue a refund for a store purchase.
This does not affect statutory rights you may have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
8. When a subscription ends
When a subscription lapses, expires, or is refunded, the paid features stop and your account returns to the free tier.
Nothing that is yours is taken with it. Your history stays readable and exportable, your logs and journals are untouched, and every item in section 2 keeps working. What stops is the paid analysis and the higher companion allowance, not your data.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects what you are paying for, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The current version is always at mycync.com/subscription-terms.
